Meet Our Instructors
Kenneth A. Pitts
Kenneth A. Pitts
Kenneth Pitts is a master instructor and the owner of Pitts Martial Arts. He has been teaching martial arts for more than 35 years. Master Pitts holds a 7th-degree black belt in Taekwondo and a 2nd Dan in judo. He is a Mestre in Capoeira. Master Pitts teaches Escrima, Tai Chi, and kickboxing.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in radio and television. Later, Master Pitts worked as a juvenile probation officer in Alameda County for more than 15 years. He has worked extensively with physically and mentally challenged teens and adults.
Anne Hadreas
Anne Hadreas
Anne Hadreas is a 3rd-degree black belter in tae kwon do. She has been studying Taekwondo for more than 15 years and martial arts for over 25 years. Anne has practiced hapkido, karate, acrobatics, and acroyoga. During her non-martial arts time,
she is a civil rights lawyer who represents people with disabilities.
Dr. Stephen Asztalos
Dr. Stephen Asztalos
Dr. Stephen Asztalos received his black belt in tae kwon do from Master Pitts in 2020. He has been teaching at the studio since 2018. Dr. Asztalos received his doctorate degree in nuclear engineering from University of California, Berkeley in 1998.
Since 2008, he has held the title of adjunct professor of physics and astronomy at the California State University, East Bay. Dr. Asztalos has two sons enrolled at MPMAA. The older one earned his black belt in 2020, while the 15-year-old boy has a red black belt.
